The Operations team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a General Manufacturing Manager 2 based out of Woodland Hills, CA.

What You’ll get to Do:

You will be responsible for developing and administering budgets, executing, and recommending modifications to organizational processes and procedures. This leadership position requires working closely and collaborating with the Woodland Hills manufacturing organizations, engineering, program office, contracts, mission assurance, transportation, and supply chain management.

You will also be responsible for daily operations of the Operations Excellence (Production Control) team, which includes:

  • Direct supervision of the Production Control and Material Resource Planning staff.
  • Monitors work hours including overtime as required and approves timecards daily.
  • Attend daily program meetings within the department and presents weekly / monthly program reviews.
  • Understands and approves new business demands and supports front loading of delivery requirements.
  • Assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs.
  • Assignments are received in task oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and procedures. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Supports targeted training plan and execution for new Planners introduced to the team or work cell to ensure proficiency is obtained and maintained.
  • Works with other functional areas to ensure program goals are executed in support of cost, schedule and quality.
  • Position will be 80% direct work with 20% indirect for budget oversight, training, staff meetings, one on one meetings, timecards and reviews.

MANUMS

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science with 9+ years of experience; Master's with 7+ years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing and Repair industry.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have computer skills using Microsoft office suite, such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Highly proficient in technical problem solving.
  • Able to work independently and set clear objectives in a dynamic team environment.
  • Must be process/procedure oriented.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or Technical background.
  • 6+ years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing and Repair industry.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft office suite, such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Previous experience working in Production Control and Scheduling organization.

Salary Range: $111,000 USD - $166,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
