Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Logistics Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The successful candidate will be a part of the WSTARS program located in the Satellite Ground Mission Planning & Analysis department of the Communications, Integration, and Asset Protection (CIAP) OU.

The candidate will perform logistics acquisition life cycle management for the WSTARS program; assist in the development of the logistics schedules and Logistics CDRLs; review and track logistics milestones, drafts briefings, and review logistics CDRL deliverables for accuracy; act as SCRUM Master for the logistics team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Milestones include the following: Training Package, Technical Manual (TM), Safety Assessment Report (SAR), Instructor and Key Personnel (IKP) Training, Maintenance Engineering Evaluation (MEE), Validation/Verification, and Log Demo
• Store and properly mark equipment with proper identification and safety labels; prepare shipping documentation that will be sent with the equipment to the sites, to include the Depot
• Participate in the Technical Documentation In Progress Reviews (IPR)s
• Possess the ability to apply these standard logistics engineering principles to complete assignments and handle challenging tasks.
• Work closely with other Logistics IPTs (Integrated Product Teams), Design Engineering IPTs, Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, and Technical Publications teams.
• Candidate must possess: Excellent interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal/written communications skills, self-motivated, and understand and exhibit a strong team work ethic and approach.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Functional area or related subject with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in military acquisition logistics management (including development of technical manuals, training packages, equipment fielding planning and documentation) OR 8 Years with Masters.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Military acquisition logistics management
• Experience managing logistics CDRLs (i.e. development of technical manuals, training packages, equipment fielding planning and documentation)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to travel both CONUS & OCONU

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military Acquisition Logistics experience in SATCOM
• Experience in logistics support with knowledge of the ARMY regulations is a plus
• DAU Life Cycle Logistics Level 1 Certification
• Certified SCRUM Master

Salary Range: $81,600 USD - $122,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
