Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Production Planner & Scheduler or Principal Production Planner & Scheduler based out of Iuka, MS.

The position enables you to work on exciting programs developing production schedules to meet manufacturing requirements. Our team uses system tools and works closely with various functional teams to communicate and ensure production capabilities are maintained. We drive manufacturing and support teams to meet goals and work to mitigate and recover any missed objectives. As part of the Production Control organization, our work is essential to the overall success of the programs and customers serviced.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and current schedules for focus programs detailing the start and complete dates for work center activities
  • Plan, prepare, disseminate, and communicate program schedules at different levels for management review and decision-making capability
  • Use ERP system to initiate and maintain manufacturing orders for current and future work supporting part structure manufacturing
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure readiness is maintained and production starts are achieved
  • Support work center capacity data development and facility planning
  • Support documentation generation for finished goods and production related shipments to ensure transportation is optimally achieved
  • Serve as liaison between Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure production has all required inputs

This role may be filled at a Production Planner & Scheduler or Principal Production Planner & Scheduler level based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications:

Production Planner & Scheduler

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of manufacturing or planning work experience, or Master’s degree and 1 years of work experience. Note: an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Knowledge of production scheduling process
  • Knowledge of Production Control function
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated understanding of MRP Systems

Principal Production Planner & Scheduler

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of manufacturing or planning work experience, or Master’s degree and 4 years of work experience. Note: an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Knowledge of production scheduling process
  • Knowledge of Production Control function
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated understanding of MRP Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience in scheduling application
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Deltek OpenPlan Computer Automated Scheduling System experience
  • Deltek Costpoint ERP System experience

Salary Range: $52,200 USD - $78,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $64,200 USD - $96,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
