Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has openings for Cable and Harness Technicians to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  These positions will be supporting our New Town, ND. facility, and requires onsite presence due to the nature of the role.  We are a world-class manufacturer of composite structures, radomes, and antenna systems for military applications. The Cable and Harness Technician will be responsible for manufacturing cable and harness products, reading and interpreting work instructions, schematics, and drawings. They will ensure that quality of the hardware is maintained, and company procedures are followed by ensuring that work is completed with accuracy and adherence to operation sheets.

*This is an entry-level position that offers paid on-the-job training. No experience required.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of supervision or higher classified Aircraft Electrician, assembles, mounts, braid and connects electrical cables, harnesses, sub-assemblies and component parts
  • Work from drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures, quality procedures and instructions, operations work sheets and company, military and customer specifications procedures
  • Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives
  • Notify supervision of any/all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product
  • Check work for completeness and accuracy
  • Perform Production Accountability duties associates with the processing, verification, and quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with, completion of assignment
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

This position will work a 4/10 schedule from 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday and a weekend schedule from 6:00am – 6:30pm Friday – Sunday.   Shift differential will be paid during eligible times.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and provide the proper documentation
  • Ability to read, solve basic math and complete measurements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work First, Second or Weekend Shift
  • Ability to complete an initial paid 3–4-week training class (Monday-Thursday, 6AM-4:30PM or Friday-Sunday, 6AM-6:30PM, as assigned) is required to start, regardless of final shift position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in assembly operations, and familiarity with shop routines and use of hand and power tools.
  • Experience in interpreting shop math, blueprints, electronic data, specifications, manuals, operations work sheets and verbal instructions.

Salary Range: $42,000 USD - $42,494 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
