Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has openings for Manufacturing Analysts, within the Tool Engineering organization.  Positions will be in Clearfield, Utah and Iuka, Mississippi.

This position supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities within the tooling organization while interfacing with a variety of cross-functional areas, including program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities engineering and procurement. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to planning and problem resolution, all towards the successful execution of tooling projects for manufacturing.  Acts as liaison between the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and Tooling.  Tooling Process Support – business administration tasks including data management, facilitating meetings, reviewing tool orders, maintaining, and presenting charts and spreadsheets.

The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams and interact with internal and external customers with respect to tool planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

This position may be filled at a level 1 or 2 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Basic Qualifications

Associate Manufacturing Analyst (Level 1)

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or tooling; OR a Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels of leadership and be able to coordinate and resolve interpersonal and technical problems and work either in a team or independently with limited guidance.
  • Experience interfacing with Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Engineering, and other Production Operation teams as well as external suppliers and vendors
  • A current and active DoD Secret Security Clearance with a periodic review within the last 5 1/2 years
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Manufacturing Analyst (Level 2)

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing or tooling; OR a Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in manufacturing or tooling
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels of leadership and be able to coordinate and resolve interpersonal and technical problems and work either in a team or independently with limited guidance.
  • Experience interfacing with Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Engineering, and other Production Operation teams as well as external suppliers and vendors
  • A current and active DoD Secret Security Clearance with a periodic review within the last 5 1/2 years
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Strike Program Clearance
  • Experience in composite subsystem and structure fabrication
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Catia V5
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in an engineering environment
  • SAP knowledge or experience

This position reports to Clearfield, UT, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Iuka, MS, MS, USA.


Salary Range: $48,600 USD - $73,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
