Northrop Grumman is hiring a Component Test Lab (CTL) Production Planner 1 to support our Tactical Space Systems Division located in Dulles, VA.

The CTL Production Planner 1 coordinates and ensures that items are being processed according to specifications and within time requirements.  Supports program planning/supply chain planning with status of work in process (WIP) throughout the lifecycle of the program.  Moves WIP as needed.  Attends daily/weekly meetings to support program and production needs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Working directly with the Operations Team Supervisor (OTS) and Quality

  • Moving hardware between the CTL1 and CTL2

  • Moving hardware between the Electronic Component Work Center (ECWC), Box town, and the CTL

  • Updating the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as required

  • Chasing down data reviews (Cognizant Engineer (CogE), Test Engineer, & Quality)

  • Attending Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs)

  • Keeping track of Engineering Ground System Equipment (EGSE) certifications

  • Helping to prioritize card level testing

  • Supporting the ECWC daily meeting with status of card level testing.   

  • Creating Manufacturing Orders (MOs)

  • Releasing and monitoring product build operations in Sync Manufacturing

  • Requesting kits and parts

  • Fulfilling part requests

  • Maintaining and actively working shortage sheets

  • Ensuring change notices, deviations, etc., are incorporated into builds and documented correctly

  • Interfacing with other Work Center Planners, Managers, Engineers, Technicians, Quality Assurance Inspectors, Stock Room Personnel, Program/Supply Chain Planners, etc.

  • Maintaining the ability to be on-call as needed for emergency parts or kit requests

  • Maintaining schedule need dates

  • Communicating roadblocks between management and I&T personnel

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a US citizen

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to read an engineering drawing and parts list

  • Possess a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to react quickly to people and situations

  • Process needed documentation

  • Follow written and verbal instructions

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Have a reasonable knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, procurement, quality basics, and/or engineering flows

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a related business or technical field

  • Knowledge of processing and testing product in the ECWC and CTL

  • Experience working in the Aerospace industry

  • Proficiency in Costpoint and Windchill a plus

  • Self-directed, proactive

  • TS/SCI clearance


    Salary Range: $43,600 USD - $72,600 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
