Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for Quality Analysts to join our team supporting a U.S. Army aviation fixed-wing program. This posting is for multiple positions in various locations that may include Washington DC, Tacoma, WA, Los Alamitos, CA, Clarksburg, WV, Concord, NH, Fort Knox, KY, Fort Worth, TX, or Clearwater, FL.

The Quality Analyst will be responsible for defining and monitoring mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers are in accordance with contractual requirements. Assess program performance and risks and help to determine resources to ensure contract compliance. Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards through execution of scheduled and unscheduled audits. Investigates problems, develops dispositions, and recommends corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.  Maintain liaison with material management, subcontractor, and customer personnel to resolve quality problems.

Basic Qualifications: Level 2

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years’ experience OR 7 years’ experience in lieu of degree, relevant military

experience may be considered.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Interim clearance to start.

• Program Auditing and/or military quality experience

• Experienced in the review and extraction of contract requirements for implementation in documented processes and procedure executable by the workforce.

• Must be able to collaborate with Program Management in the development of performance metrics in the areas of customer satisfaction, product/service performance, process performance and supplier/subcontractor performance.

• Must have strong teamwork skills, ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must have demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required.

• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, weekends, and frequent travel.

Basic Qualifications: Level 3

• Bachelor's Degree with 6 years’ experience OR 10 years’ experience in lieu of degree, relevant military experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• FAA A&P Certificate

• SEMA Program Experience

• Experience in QMS development, implementation, and auditing to the AS9100/9110 standards.

• Knowledge of King Air, Citation, and/or Metroliner aircraft systems, components, and maintenance concepts

• Knowledge of U.S. Army aviation records and electronic logbook database programs

This position reports to Los Angeles, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Tacoma, WA, WA, USA.


Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
