Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for an Mission Assurance Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

Manages a department that is responsible for Subcontract and Procurement supplier quality aligned to Strategic Space Systems Program's Integrated Production Teams (IPT). Drives the organization in their performance of process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Interfaces directly with programs and must be knowledgeable in, and capable of, assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures. Trains, coaches, and mentors Subcontract Mission Assurance Managers and Program Procurement Mission Assurance Engineering personnel. Facilitates the development and maintenance of common program supplier assurance metrics. Supports Program Preventive and Corrective Action Boards (PCAB), Subcontractor Failure Review Boards, and other programmatic meetings and/or events as required in support of the Mission Assurance Organization and your department. Identifies and drives the implementation of process improvements and affordability projects. Utilizes a broad understanding of program operations to lead multifunctional teams during root cause and corrective action investigations. Facilitates the development of common Supplier Assurance processes across programs. Coordinates with Business Unit Mission Assurance Directorate to assure personnel growth through cross training, stretch assignments, and exposure to Program and Functional leadership. Supports proposal development and assure forecasts are captured in the Mission Assurance staffing plans.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 7 years' related experience in quality, industrial, manufacturing or engineering. 

  • Must have prior experience in a functional management role. 

  • Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret and/or SCI clearance.

  
Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS/MBA/PhD


Salary Range: $160,200 USD - $240,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
