Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an energetic individual to join the Rolling Meadows Calibration Support Team to provide a full range of support in a fast-paced environment.

The Quality Systems Assistant performs a variety of activities in support of the Rolling Meadows Calibration Lab, to include, but not limited to:

  • Provide direct customer support, developing and maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Takes and processes transactional requests by telephone, internet, and correspondence from custodians.
  • Enters and maintains database records of Measurement and Test Equipment and prepares and distributes recall reports.
  • Ensure incoming vendor calibrations meet calibration requirements. 
  • Review and complete inspections of calibration records according to requirements. 
  • Complete calibration database updates and label Measurement and Test Equipment accordingly and properly label Test Equipment. 
  • Receives equipment from customers and outside vendors.
  • Document vendor calibrations, recording activities in calibration tracking database.
  • Compile, review and analyze data from internal database to document performance metrics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 1+ year(s) of system support experience to include demonstrated capability in computer skills.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft excel, prepare reports, generate spreadsheets, charts, presentations, and other forms of correspondence.
  • Should have strong oral/written communication skills along with ability to interact effectively with coworkers, customers and outside vendors.
  • Minimum of 1+ year(s) of asset management database work experience.
  • Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 35lbs, unassisted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the calibration field or other quality function.
  • Successful candidate will have a strong commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Active Secret clearance preferred.
  • Experienced user of SAP.

Salary Range: $38,100 USD - $63,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
