Northrop Grumman is looking for a full time Quality Assurance (QA) Policy and Strategy Analyst for our Baltimore campus.  The selected candidate will report to the Manager, QMS Compliance.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the sector Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance Program to ensure conformity with the AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements, as well as corporate, sector, and site policies and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audit assessments of QMS process areas (such as manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain) to ensure requirements and specifications are met.
  • Work directly with functional and operational organizations to ensure that process audits and analyses are conducted as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications.
  • Mentor process owners to implement processes to support the AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards as well as other contractual standards such as AS9145, AS9102 and AS9115.
  • Generate and analyze performance metrics to identify trends in non-conformances to enable efforts to improve quality.
  • Automate data collection and analysis through the use of Microsoft SharePoint tools, Tableau, and/or Power Apps to improve operational efficiency.

The candidate must be a self-starter with a proven track record of multi-discipline team experience and possess outstanding analytical, presentation, communication, and facilitation skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are important to this role.

This position may be filled at the Analyst (level 2) or Principal Analyst (level 3) level, depending on experience.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain or Manufacturing, (OR 0+ years’ experience with Master's degree, OR 4+ years with an Associate's degree; OR 6+ years in lieu of degree)
  • Experience conducting process audits
  • Experience in Data Analytics, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventive Action
  • Experience in a manufacturing, quality, engineering, or supply chain environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., creation of Excel macros)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain or Manufacturing, (OR 3+ years’ experience with Master's degree, OR 7+ years with an Associate's degree; OR 9+ years in lieu of degree)
  • Experience conducting process audits
  • Experience in Data Analytics, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventive Action
  • Experience in a manufacturing, quality, engineering, or supply chain environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., creation of Excel macros)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels:

  • Detailed working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100
  • Experience developing in Microsoft SharePoint or Power Apps
  • SAP knowledge or experience
  • Experience using HQMS
  • Strong Facilitation skills

Salary Range: $67,000 USD - $100,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $82,400 USD - $126,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
