Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is hiring! Join our team a Receiving Inspector – Level 2 based out of Clearfield, UT.

If selected, final clearance must be obtained prior to start.

Essential Functions:

  • Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints, to determine inspection and test procedures
  • Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications, and adjusts process or assembly equipment to meet standards
  • Analyzes and interprets sample data
  • Confers with vendors and others regarding inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs
  • Measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications
  • Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards
  • Inspect purchased materials for conformity to standards, specifications, using purchase quality codes, drawings, inspection plans, and checklists to verify Visual, dimensional Inspect, part marking, lot/serial numbers, lot quantity, handling and shipping damage
  • Perform Authorization to ship(ATS) document review of supplier’s documentation to ensure conformity to specifications and contractual requirements pre-shipment of material
  • Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected items, including documenting nonconformance in TipQA/(tag)  and material segregation
  • Perform verification of material temperature data and temperature requirements to ensure conformity to data records and time of receipt
  • Complete QCID, Solumina and CostPoint acceptance and print accept tags
  • Materials that require initial testing. Inspection will create lab Work Order and notify Stores/Inventory and Material Planner that the lab Work Order has been submitted to the lab. Material Planner shall authorize cutting personal to cut/pull material samples and physically move material samples to the Lab
  • Perform regular floor audits with operations, FOD walks

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 2-years of manufacturing/production/inspection experience (or similar)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance
  • Composite experience and/or certification
  • Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience
  • Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures

Salary Range: $39,600 USD - $66,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
