Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician 1 based out of Clearfield, UT.

This job involves performing and interpreting Ultrasonic (UT) inspections using automated inspection systems and handheld techniques to determine acceptability of composite aircraft parts throughout the manufacturing process for quality and design verification in a fast paced high rate production environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified)
• UT Level 1 classroom training/experience in operating basic Ultrasonic equipment in progress or completed
• Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment as part of a multi-disciplined team
• Ability to obtain active DoD Secret Clearance and special program access

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and familiarity with inspection/interpretation requirements of composite parts/materials.
• Experience with Hand Held Pulse Echo Units (USM GO, USN 60)
• Efficient at MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office systems
• Must have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control NDT method(s)
• Must be capable of conducting NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Ability to make sound decisions
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Perform physical requirements of the position, including handling/positioning parts in the Ultrasonic inspection tanks to perform Ultrasonic inspections
• Active DoD Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $37,700 USD - $62,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
