Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician 4 based out of Clearfield, UT.

Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on composite parts and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process for quality and design verification in a fast paced high rate production environment using automated and manual methods and techniques.  Requires Ultrasonic certification in accordance with NAS410.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified) and Level 2 Certification per NAS410 in Ultrasonics (certification will be verified).
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant inspection/testing and/or manufacturing experience in the Aerospace industry. 
  • Experience with NAS 410 requirements
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance and special program access

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating Automated Ultrasonic machines and Hand Held Pulse Echo Units (USM GO, USN 60)
  • Efficient at MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office systems
  • Must have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control NDT method(s)
  • Capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection
  • Capable of preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions
  • Capable of approving NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy
  • Capable of conducting NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Self-Starter and ability to work through an issue to closure

Salary Range: $63,200 USD - $105,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
