Quality Assurance Policy and Strategy Analyst (Internal Audit) – Space/Satellite Systems

Northrop Grumman Space seeks Internal AS9100/ISO 9100 Quality Auditor to join our Tactical Space Systems Division. This position is located in Dulles, VA of Gilbert AZ and fills a critical need on our Quality Management System (QMS) team, reporting directly to the QMS Manager.

The qualified applicant will join a diverse group of Mission Assurance and product realization professionals. We are looking for a high-caliber individual with a background in process auditing, focused on AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements, with industry experience in quality management systems and process improvement to join the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performs Quality Management System (QMS) audits and process audits.
• Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
• Evaluates corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.
• Evaluates non-conformances to alert management to potential systemic process issues.
• Supports customer and external audits of our QMS standards.
• Supports continuous improvement activities within the QMS.
• Interfaces directly with internal manufacturing, engineering, operations, supply chain, and program management teams to ensure all QMS requirements are met and compliant.
• Interfaces with QMS team members, and the Safety & Mission Assurance organization, located in Gilbert, Arizona, and Dulles, Virginia.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• 2+ years of industry experience in process auditing focused on AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements in an aerospace and defense environment.
• 2+ years of industry experience in quality management systems, process management, and continuous improvement.
• Experience performing internal audits for AS9100 compliance.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience with nonconformance and corrective action database systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASQ Certified Auditor.
• Experience with TipQA, Windchill, SharePoint, and One Note.
• Appreciation for a Continuous Improvement culture.
• Experience in reporting and remediation of Corrective Action Requests.
• AS9100 Certified Lead Auditor.
• Strong organizational skills.

This position reports to Dulles, VA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Gilbert, AZ, AZ, USA.

Salary Range: $60,000 USD - $95,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
