Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

Position Summary

  • Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Assess program performance and risks and determines resources to ensure mission success.

Essential Functions

  • Lead a team of quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to maintain and expand the compliance and risk management systems for Commercial Powder and Medium Caliber value streams.
  • Provides direct supervision. Responsible for the supervision of salary employees and all disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for supporting documentation to meet customer requirements.
  • Be an advocate for, and strictly follow, all NRE safety, quality, environmental, and
    production rules and procedures.
  • Identify and grow strong people managers and future leaders.
  • Actively support an environment of employee engagement and inclusion.
  • Lead NREs ISO certification program.

Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions

sets
•Ability to execute to departmental goals and objectives with minimal day-to-day
supervision.
•Commitment to operating safely, with environmental awareness, and with a focus on
producing a quality product.
 

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree In a relevant field with 10 years of experience, Master’s Degree in a
relevant field with 8 years of experience OR 14 years of relevant experience in the field.
•Extensive experience in Quality Systems, ISO compliance, supplier auditing, incoming
materials inspections, DCMA relations, risk management techniques, and root
cause/failure analysis methodologies
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing planning schedules and staffing.
• Experience developing relationships with Customers and Suppliers preferred.
 

Additional Qualifications:


• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
•Must be able to obtain clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and
Explosives as an Employee Possessor.
• Must pass RFAAP badging requirements, including background check and drug screening.

Salary Range: $116,200 USD - $174,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
