Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Carpenter to work in our Maintenance Department at the Bacchus Facility in Magna, Utah

Role description & Responsibilities:

This Carpenter position performs a wide variety of carpentry work on existing plant facilities and new construction. Duties include, but are not limited to, installation of commercial doors, concrete and foundation work, roof repair, floor installation and repair, sheetrock repair, etc.  Candidates must be able to read and interpret blue prints, know and understand load bearing construction, roof pitches and perform shop mathematics.  Candidates must be competent in the safe operation of machines to include: band saw, planer, joiner, shaper, drill press, miter saw, etc.  Strong safety knowledge and personal practice of OSHA requirements and local and state regulations is expected

Shift work and overtime is required and the successful candidate must pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA).

Education/Certifications/Experience:

•  High School Diploma or GED
•  Licensed Journeyman or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Journeyman Carpenter. Must provide documentation of education / background.
•  5 + years, recent, work experience as a carpenter in the construction field.
•  Able to supply own hand tools. 



Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
