Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for an experienced Manager, Programs 2 to join the Program Engineering Management team within the Launch Vehicles business unit in Chandler, AZ.

The Program Engineering (PEM) leads the technical management for development of an advanced missile system. The PEM leads a multi-disciplinary team to define the performance requirements and interfaces for the booster system. The PEM executes project management, including integrated master schedule (IMS) and earned value management system (EVMS). The PEM provides technical leadership of the multidisciplinary engineering team to successfully complete the required design and mission reviews to ensure compliance with both internal and customer requirements, ensures timely completion of customer deliverables, and leads resolution of significant technical issues. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge regarding missile system technologies and operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex problems are essential.

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Engineering degree plus 9 years of experience; Masters degree plus 7 years of experience.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Interim Top Secret or Active Top Secret Clearance is required

Ability to travel is required

Salary Range: $123,900 USD - $185,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
