Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector, Launch Vehicles Business Unit is looking for a Program Manager 2, Business Operations. This role is based out of Chandler, AZ and will support the Launch Vehicles (LV) Program Office in executing Launch and Missile Defense Solutions (LMDS) Division’s Sentinel program scope.

The Program Manager 2, Business Operations will serve as a member of the LV Sentinel program office and, under direction of the Business Operations Manager, facilitate business-related program execution activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordination and creation of business content in program briefings. This includes high-visibility communications with internal customers (LVBU, LMDS and SDS executive management) as well as external customers (Air Force)
  • Management of financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to financial program status and analyses.
  • Support monthly Earned Value reviews, coordinate Integrated Master Schedule reviews/deep dives and facilitate the Baseline Change Request (BCR) process
  • Management of incremental funding updates from the Prime and flow downs to the IWO partners/suppliers
  • Coordination of scope changes with the Prime and IWO partners/suppliers
  • Program headcount forecast
  • Miscellaneous business efforts such as Return-to-Green, BCR tracking, financial risk and opportunity management, program re-plans, etc.
  • Support Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) and required data submittals
  • Serve as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) as well as provide support to other CAMs to ensure accurate EV reporting
  • Oversee and manage the business aspects of ongoing program office projects

Minimum Education or Experience

  • Typical Minimum Education or Experience
  • 9 Years with Bachelors; 7 Years with Masters
  • General aerospace and launch vehicle knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Schedule, Earned Value and financial reporting experience on a variety of contract types
  • Current/active DoD, secret clearance required

Desired Experience:

  • Prior Launch Vehicles Sentinel experience
  • Program replan exposure
  • Integrated Master Schedule knowledge

Salary Range: $127,700 USD - $191,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
