Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for an Project Management professional to join our Advanced Weapons Program Support team located in Northridge, CA. This is an individual contributor role, and is not a management position.

This position will support an advanced weapons program teams responsible for the development of future weapon systems, as well as the Advanced Programs (AP) Program Management Office responsible for overseeing the execution of various weapon system contracts and managing program performance baselines. This position will be responsible for integration with cross functional disciplines to support workforce planning, business management, investment management and planning, process improvement initiatives, coordination activities, and more. This position regularly interfaces with senior management.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 4/10.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Effectively communicate and interface with team members and program office leadership

* Provide meeting facilitation, coordination, documentation, and attendance

* Develop and deliver high-level briefings to support Program Managers with program reporting

* Maintain Program Dashboard including access control of internal/external users

* Support administrative activities associated with proposal development as needed

* Process charge code authorizations on behalf of the program office

* Identify opportunities for process improvement changes and champion needed changes in the organization

* Coordinate and collaborate across all functions to help develop, implement, and manage program processes and tools

* Monitor cross functional dependencies, identify bottlenecks, and visualize progress for overall program control and reporting

* Review and report status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, track and report on actions, and prepare status reports

* Ability to engage in many ad hoc activities required, to ensure streamlined cadence for program operations and execution

* Oversee and manage the execution of projects and serve as liaison between program management, program controls, program teams, and functional management

* Assess project issues, support data driven decision making, and provide solutions to complex problems that are consistent with the organization’s objectives for productivity, quality, and program satisfaction

* Composed – maintains a “level head” in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment, especially when working closely with management on projects with highly compressed timelines and tight deadlines

* Independent – willing to work independently under Program Management guidance to meet complex demands and produce optimum deliverables for the realization of an organization’s benefit and goals

Basic Qualifications:

* High school diploma/GED and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant/related experience. Will consider a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or Master's degree with 1 year of experience

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office

* Experience with SharePoint Development

* Experience with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity management

* Knowledge of process improvement methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

* Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher)

* Experience with program integration

* Experience in program execution

* Experience with Confluence/Jira

* Project Management Certification (ex. PMP)


Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
