Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) Resiliency Technology & Products is seeking an Advanced Mission Solutions Program Manager - 3 reporting to the Portfolio Director. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

 

In this role you will:

  • Manage the technical, cost & schedule baseline for programs of ~$100M in value

  • Manage a team of 30-150 technical contributors and associated support functions (including business, contracts, etc.)

  • Be responsible for the technical performance, cost, schedule and risk management functions for your programs

  • Perform market research into discriminating technologies and capabilities, develop technology & investment roadmaps and may investment recommendations to senior leadership in your relevant technology areas.

  • Prepare and deliver technical and programmatic performance reports to senior leadership

  • Develop and maintain relationships with government customers that inform your recommendations for internal investments & NCTA in your portfolio technologies

  • Participate in proposal and capture efforts

  • Engage in industry collaboration and events that bring awareness to Northrop Grumman’s capabilities to industry and government partners

  • Participate in contract and process tailoring activities to ensure the ability to execute, during all phases of your programs, in a rapid development environment

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering field from an accredited university.

  • 7 years of experience in aerospace industry with a minimum of 3 years experience in a technical leadership/lead role

  • Experience managing technical, cost & schedule performance for rapid development programs or IR&D efforts with hardware deliverables

  • Active DoD Top Secret and SCI clearance

  • Ability to obtain & maintain SAP access

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering or closely related engineering field from an accredited university

  • Experience engaging with industry & government partners and developing and marketing technologies aligned with their needs

  • Experience performing market research, developing technology roadmaps, and making internal investment recommendations to senior leadership

  • Experience managing technical, cost & schedule performance for rapid development programs or IR&D efforts

  • Experience managing a technology portfolio of approximately $25 to $100 million

  • Minimum of one active SAP access


Salary Range: $176,100 USD - $264,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
