The Missile Defense Solutions (MDS) Business Unit (BU) Engineering organization pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Program Manager 3 0 Deputy Program Manager on our classified (higher than Secret) Task Order based out of Schriever Space Force Base, CO.

What You’ll get to Do:

The Deputy Program Manager will direct all phases of program from inception through completion on the C2BMC program at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the cost, schedule, and technical baselines for the classified scope of the C2BMC program
  • Lead the establishment of the new classified task order with emphasis of facilities, staffing, and processes
  • Lead the integration of the classified task order organization into the established C2BMC program
  • Provide leadership in alignment of contractual scope with Agile/Iterative planning and execution
  • Lead the programmatic aspect of technical solution problem solving
  • Lead Program Management Reviews
  • Lead the exploitation of Opportunities and the mitigation of Risks
  • Lead C2BMC classified efforts to achieve Mission Success
  • Lead Engineering Change Proposals
  • Drive new business opportunities and growth into adjacent markets
  • Closely coordinate with other task order program managers, resource managers, solution management and release trains to ensure all classified C2BMC program milestones and objectives are met
  • Support Program Assessment Reviews, Audits, monthly business operation rhythms, Integrated Baseline Review, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance is required
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 11 years of experience, or a MS degree and 9 years of required years of experience.
  • Experienced program manager
  • Strong leadership skills, P/L leadership skills and business acumen to include a strong understanding of EVM
  • Experience managing program schedules and business rhythms
  • Strong customer relationship skills
  • Experience with Software Development Programs
  • Ability to Work across Lines of Business (LOBs) and Business Areas (BAs)
  • Experience in presenting to and communicating with high-level internal and external customers.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with C2BMC, Missile Defense Agency, Missile Warning, or Space programs
  • Experience with large multi-year Spiral Development and Sustainment Contracts
  • Experience with Agile Dev Ops and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
  • Experience with Large Software Development Programs (>$200M)

    Salary Range: $160,100 USD - $240,100 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
