Northrop Grumman, Mission Systems is looking for a Manager, Programs Level 2 to join our Marine Systems team located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Cape Canaveral, FL.  This role will lead our Logistics team, who provide contractor item management and provisioning services in support of U.S./UK Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile Program.  Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide functional management of a team of logistics project managers 
  • Identify, allocate and manage program resources, including workforce planning
  • Develop and ensure adherence to budget baselines including conduct of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools, when required
  • Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract 
  • Establish milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications 
  • Ensure adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years, or Master’s and 6 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
  • Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with US DoD supply system
  • Experience with Strategic System Program (SSP) operations and the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM Program)
  • Experience with manufacturing information systems, e.g. SAP
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
     

Salary Range: $127,700 USD - $191,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
