Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Program Planning 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aeronautics organization. This leadership role is located in Melbourne, FL.

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems – Schedule Management organization is seeking a Program Planning & Scheduling Manager for a restricted program.

The manager will also be responsible for preparing, developing and coordinating the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives. 

They will also ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, contracts, cost, and finance.

The Manager’s roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage a small team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts.

Perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews.

Develop direct team knowledge and depth.

Prepares, develops and coordinates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives.

Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated.

Provides weekly status and reporting.

Conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits.

Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:

DCMA 14-point

IPMR DI-MGMT-81861

NDIA EIA-748 32 Guidelines

Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

Critical Path Methodology (CPM)

Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)

Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis

Ability to perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis and provide recommendations to solve problems.

Ability to create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership

Ability to effectively work with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Business and/or STEM (Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program Management, or Engineering experience OR Master’s degree with 5 years of Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program Management, or Engineering experience

An Active In-scope DoD Secret Clearance

Ability to obtain Program Access Required (PAR)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Project Server environment

Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) approach and execution

Salary Range: $102,500 USD - $153,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
