Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Senior Program Manager for the Immersive Mission Solutions (IMS) Operating Unit in Orlando, FL.  The IMS OU designs, develops, and delivers world class training capabilities to the U.S. military. Northrop Grumman has developed critical capabilities for the U.S. Military for over 35 years and anticipates further growth. The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for leading and growing a portfolio of Mission Readiness programs for domestic and international customers.

As the Senior Program Manager, you will report to the IMS Operating Unit Senior Director and be responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of a multi-disciplinary teams. The individual selected for this role will also have accountability for and participate in the strategy to grow our business.  We are looking to continue to nurture customer intimacy and develop solutions for all customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of other program managers and provide cross-functional team leadership over the portfolio
  • Develop strategies and pursue new business to execute top and bottom-line growth
  • Execute contract requirements
  • Chair Risk Review Board
  • Chair Configuration Control Board
  • Financial accountability meeting or exceeding the Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan
  • Customer Relationship Management

Basic Qualification

  • Must have bachelor’s degree with 12 years of program management leadership or master’s degree with 10 years of experience.
  • A minimum five years of functional management experience
  • DoD program experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience in program-level financial management and reporting (Earned Value Management, Control Account Management, Risk Management)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proposal development experience
  • Capture Management / Business Development Experience
  • Strategic Planning experience
  • Training, modeling and simulation industry experience
  • DoD development program experience
  • Possess a PMP Certification
  • SAFe Agile experience and training
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts

Salary Range: $152,100 USD - $228,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
