Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sentinel Production Program Management Director 2. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
As a member of the Sentinel executive leadership, the Sentinel Production Program Manager will focus on the transition to production and support on-going program planning activities, lead capture and proposal effort related to production content, and partner with the functional homeroom to ensure we have people, processes, and tools ready to support our future needs. At this critical juncture in the program, we’re focused on delivering the right weapon system with schedule certainty and predictable cost – a well-planned and effective transition from EMD to production is key.
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Enterprise focal for all things related to future contract actions related to Sentinel Production
- Responsible for Enterprise Affordability & Lifecycle Cost Modeling
- Responsible for Sentinel Transition Items RFP / Proposal
- Production Readiness Assessments
- Construction and Deployment Readiness
- Evaluate and recommend Org Construct / CONOPs (Industry & USG)
- Risk reduction efforts (smart things to go do – CLIN0001 or other mechanisms on MMIII, Sentinel, or other contract vehicles)
- Support to what-if exercises focused on acceleration of MMIII > Sentinel transition

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years in a formal lead/management position
- Active DoD Secret Clearance adjudicated in the last 6 years with ability to obtain SAP
- 3+ years experience with:
- Program execution, change management, risk management, and stakeholder management
- Managing complex projects / programs across with different customers across multiple phases of the program lifecycle
- Successful transitions from capture to execution
- Briefing executives and managing expectations
- Ability to travel 25% per month
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in STEM
- Previous experience as a member of a senior executive management team
- Strong organization skills and tool proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to operate in complex environment and challenging situations
- Strong verbal communications skills and proven track record building strong customer and peer relationships
- Strong execution track record as a senior P&L leader on a large complex program transitioning from EMD to LRIP with significant supplier content
- Experience in start-up or recovery situations that required combined application of capture and execution skill sets requiring coordination and buy-in across a large and diverse team
- TS/SCI clearance with ability to be clear SAP
