Northrop Grumman Defense Sector (NGDS) is seeking a Maintenance Operations Center Chief for the US Army’s Transport Aircraft program to direct all phases of maintenance.

As the selected Maintenance Operations Center Chief, you will provide the programmatic and technical analysis plus the quality communications necessary to deliver system/aircraft statuses and reports to globally distributed operational sites. You will help manage maintenance records for multiple aircraft and sites that combine to form a team of more than 200 dedicated, diverse professionals including NG personnel and subcontractors. Your analysis and communications will be instrumental in ensuring NG delivers on our contractual commitments, advances our strategic objectives, and provides accurate metrics to the program.

You are responsible for working with program leadership and our subcontractors to ensure appropriate training in the system of record is provided to support successful program execution as well as proactively providing program direction to best leverage NGDS capabilities. NGC Transport Program Management Office is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities within the Maintenance Operations Center, including property control, facility cleanliness, safety, scheduling, and daily meetings.

  • Maintains close coordination with the maintenance, operations and program manager.

  • MOC Management responsible for providing audio and video for program related meetings with the customers and/or sub-contractors to include planning, creating or displaying media provided by any meeting attendees. 

  • Ensures access to Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) manuals with associated supplemental data maintained in a technical library linked within the digital logistics environment.

  • Other responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the proper functionality of MOC computers and the conference call center devices. 

  • Responsible for the functionality and accuracy of the Program’s System of Record plus the creation, review & submission of multiple CDRLs that include but are not limited to: A050 Daily Aircraft Status Report, A051 Monthly Aircraft Status Report and A056 Quarterly GSE report.

  • Responsible for the creation and distribution of multiple courtesy reports including but not limited to the Daily Status Report (Colorized Report) which include the distribution of the AOG Report provided by Sustainment, the Non-FMC Report.

  • Responsible for maintaining, reviewing and reporting Non-Reporting Time (NRT) plus for submitting NRT Requests to the Customer via their chosen System of Record.

  • Able to take helpdesk calls at all times of the day or night in support of around the world aviation operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years’ experience supporting Contract Logistics Support Aircraft Maintenance and/or project management/analysis in military or other industries. In lieu of a degree, 20 years’ military experience with demonstrated leadership in unit / depot level maintenance will be considered or 10 years management experience in other related industries.

  • Excellent verbal, and written communications skills as well as being self-motivated, and an inherent drive to deliver on commitments.

  • Demonstrated experience leading medium-large meetings with direct and indirect leadership teams to drive successful strategic outcomes.

  • The ability to establish and apply a technical performance baseline to monitor and compare key program technical performance measures, assess program and product status, and take appropriate action to maintain conformance with the baseline leadership teams to drive successful functional outcomes.

  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining a Secret security clearance.

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

  • Excel Pivot Chart and Tableau experience.

  • Military or Contract Logistics Support for fleet maintenance.

  • Experience with C-12, UC-35, C-26, or similar


Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $117,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
