Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is looking for an Associate Project Management Level 1 or Project Manager 2 to support the Tactical Space Systems Division, ESPAStar Product Line Organization. This position requires a broad understanding of U.S. Government aerospace products/systems and/or missions/operations as well as experience in leading project teams.

In this role, the candidate is responsible for effectively supporting the ESPAStar Mission managers and communicating security relative needs to the NG Corporate security teams during all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). 
 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate the integration and test activity highbay locations that are allocated to each mission according to the Program’s needed schedules and in conjunction with NG Corporate Security.

  • Support the proposal process by developing documentation, materials, and analysis as needed to foster new work.

  • Manage Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.), including post launch hardware disposition.

  • Oversees operational aspects of ESPAStar Mission and serves as liaison between program management, security management, functional engineering, and planning.

  • Identify opportunities for change and champion process efficiencies.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers and security managers.

  • Manage, track, and analyze incoming security clearances, submittals, crossovers, and outgoing team member movement to include debriefs and exit interviews with Security.

This is a dual requisition that can be filled at the Associate Project Manager level 1 or Project Manager level 2.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for Associate Project Manager 1:

  • Bachelors degree; or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Current or active Top Secret level clearance with the ability to obtain SAP clearance.

  • Experience developing tools, spreadsheets, and/or mechanisms to track project progress. 

  • Experience providing analysis on project actions, activities, and recommendations/solutions.

  • Strong understanding of Government Security clearance processing.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Intermediate to expert in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications for Associate Project Manager 1:

  • Space domain experience.

  • Experience using agile methodologies and tools.

  • Experience managing Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.), including post launch hardware disposition.

  • Experience managing security clearance processing.

  • Experience developing and writing proposal materials.

Basic Qualifications for Project Manager 2:

  • Bachelors degree with 3 years of related experience degree, or 1 year of related experience with a Masters Degree. In lieu of a degree, 7 years of related experience will be considered.

  • Current or active Top Secret level clearance with the ability to obtain SAP clearance.

  • Experience developing tools, spreadsheets, and/or mechanisms to track project progress. 

  • Experience providing analysis on project actions, activities, and recommendations/solutions.

  • Strong understanding of Government Security clearance processing.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Intermediate to expert in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications for Project Manager 2:

  • Space domain experience.

  • Experience using agile methodologies and tools.

Salary Range: $50,100 USD - $75,100 USD
Salary Range 2: $60,600 USD - $90,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
