The Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Project Manager (level 4) or a Staff Project Manager (level 5) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Global Supply Chain organization (GSC). This role reports to Sagittarius Global Supply Chain Program Management within the Assured Interoperable Missions (AIM) Business Unit within the Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD). This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA. This position requires the candidate to be on-site.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage Supply Chain Projects across multiple functional disciplines from concept to execution.
  • Defines and develops material strategy.
  • Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
  • Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
  • Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements.
  • Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
  • Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
  • Assesses rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements.  
  • Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.  
  • Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements for the program and coordinates with the GSC Procurement to engage suppliers 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance in-scope (investigation within last 5 years)
  • Level 4; 10+ years with Bachelor’s degree; 8+ years with a Master’s in business or supply chain or STEM
  • Level 5; 15+ years with Bachelor’s for a ; 13+ years with Masters’ in business or supply chain or STEM
  • Knowledgeable of Advanced Planning (AP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Parts Management Integration (PMI) Processes
  • Basic familiarity with SAP
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP
  • Demonstrates leadership success and ability to gain influence with peers and others in a matrixed organization
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SCI Clearance in-scope (investigation within last 5 years)
  • Experience in space programs
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain and/or Business
  • STEM degree
  • Experience as an AP, MRP or PMI
  • Proficient in Earned Value Managements Systems, supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting or supplier/program/product scheduling
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of supplier financial reporting/forecasting and scheduling

Salary Range: $107,000 USD - $160,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $132,700 USD - $199,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
