This position is for the role of a Project Manager. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of project managers within the SIT&E organization. The candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects.   This position will require the project manager to perform advanced project management tasks from inception to close-out and continue to manage the system for operational efficiency. 


The candidate should have knowledge of EVMS and Program Management processes and procedures.  They should have knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks independently. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have experience briefing Leadership.  Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. 

 

This requisition may be filled at the higher grade depending on the requirements listed below.

 

Basic Qualifications:  

 

For Principal Project Manager (Level 3):
•    Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of project management/ related industry experience, 4 years with Masters
For Sr. Senior Project Manager (Level 4):
•    Bachelor's degree and 10 years of project management/related industry experience, 8 years' experience with a master's degree 
•    EVMS / Cost and Schedule / Project Management Experience
•    Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Project (scheduling)
•    The ability to obtain a Secret DoD Clearance and Special Program Access

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Active Secret DoD Clearance granted or renewed within the last 6 years or under continuous evaluation
•    Experience managing technical projects preferably aerospace related
•    Experience managing facilities and infrastructure projects 
•    Master's Degree

This position reports to Palmdale, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Edwards AFB, CA, CA, USA.


Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD
Salary Range 2: $107,000 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
