The Systems Engineering Space Process Excellence (SPEX) Manager is responsible for representing and leading the SE Functional Homeroom organization on complex administrative matters related to people (training and development), process initiatives (process excellence and modeling), and tools (software and workflows). The SE SPEX manager represents the SE FHR on process and training initiatives with the SPEX organization and performs resource planning and Cost Account Management. Along with supporting the SPEX organization, the SE SPEX Manager reports to the SE Operations Manager and aligns, implements, and manages activities that support functional activities. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Daily activities will include but are not limited to:

• Provide project management of the System Engineering Process Excellence initiatives including process modeling, training, greening, and sustainment

• Provide SE leadership support to various projects for the Space Process Excellence initiative

• Work with functional homeroom managers to identify Subject Matter Experts and critical skills to execute various SPEX initiatives

• Collaborate with Space programs and Mission Assurance to ensure communication of initiatives

• Support Executive level briefings

• Represent SE directorate at engineering level and stakeholder meetings

• Provide cost account management for process indirect and LOE budgets

• Provide oversight and cost account management for the training

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business need

Candidate must successfully complete the Lx Administrator courses in the first 3 months of the role.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 7+ years of engineering experience OR

• Master's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience

• Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering and/or Space Systems Programs

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required

• Prior experience as a manager or a team lead.

• Prior experience leading change control and review boards

• EVMS trained and 1+ year of Cost Account Management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active DoD Top Secret and/or SCI clearance.

• Ability to multi-task and self-time manage working toward timely completion of assigned tasks

• Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

• Demonstrated skills to plan, organize and develops solutions to complex problems

Salary Range: $101,800 USD - $152,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
