Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Management Specialist (Level 2) to join our F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Program Integration Team.  Selected candidate will support in managing projects to enhance overall operational efficiencies for the Program by serving as liaison between  Program Office and our F-35 product/functional planning team members. Reviews status of projects and budgets, staffing manpower, schedules and develop standard status reports/mechanisms and/or resolutions for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers to meet total Program productivity, quality, and financial goals and objectives. Position is located onsite in Redondo Beach with some travel to Palmdale.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 3 years’ experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; or 1 year experience with Master's degree
  • Intermediate experience with Tableau, Power BI and MS Visio
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products
  • Working knowledge of Project Management principles
  • EVMS knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity, creativity, and participation of internal and/or external personnel & teams.
  • Strong communications skills, both, interpersonal skills and good problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Selected candidate must be highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled verbal and written communicator.
  • Project integration experience
  • Experience/certification- Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques, which includes program cost and schedule management.

Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
