Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for two Project Management positions, these positions can be filled with either a level 3 or a level 4 candidate.

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

This position is for the role of a Program Integrator. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of project integrators within the Program Operations Homeroom. The candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and team operations. This individual contributor will work side by side with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead on program reporting, metrics generation, and special projects.

The candidate should have an understanding of program management and they should adhere to NG processes and apply them to working internal projects.  They should have knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and satisfaction goals and objectives.

• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and reporting status
• Assess project issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of tools/templates for monitoring project progress
• Preparation of status reports and presentations for NGC internal and Customer meetings

Basic Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Project Manager or a Sr. Principal Project Manager based on the qualifications below.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• For the level 3 position: 6+ years experience (with Bachelor’s degree) OR 4+ year of experience with a Master’s degree
• For the level 4 position: 10+ years experience (with Bachelor’s degree) OR 8+ year of experience with a Master’s degree
• Skillful with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF)
• Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience in Project management, Program Integration/Execution
• Master’s Degree from an accredited university
• Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar
• Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadership
• Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience
• Experience working in technical engineering environment
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Experience

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Salary Range 2: $107,600 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
