Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management, production, planning, procurement, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention and problem solving with Project Managers, Line Managers, Program Management and Clients.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related professional experience that includes a background in project management, OR in lieu of a degree, 7 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in project management may be considered
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications to include advanced skills using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. MS Access skills are a plus. Strong Excel skills to include utilization of Pivot Tables.
  • Must have the ability to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
  • Must have MRP Knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current/Active Security Clearance
  • Experience with Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally.
  • Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale. Interpreting data provided by SAP, PDM and MES Systems.
  • Able to read engineering documentation, BOM Structures, and PLM tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadership.
  • Understanding of Operations processes including production, procurement, supplier management, material management and release, planning, quality processes, and work order management.
  • Demonstrated Process Improvement skills/abilities.
  • SharePoint experience.Familiarity with JIRA and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with EVMS processes.

Salary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
