Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Global Supply Chain Senior Principal Project Management Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located onsite in Melbourne, Florida on a 9/80 work schedule.

The Project manager will support the sustainment IPT and Sub IPTs as a focal point for the GSC organization. They will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to; review status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepare status reports, assess project issues developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives, develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures consistency in GSC processes and drafts work instructions and work flows, where applicable
  • Acts as a GSC focal with various program IPTs and Sub IPTs
  • Analyzes data and information to accurately build/present program-level leadership briefings focused on status and critical program milestones
  • Assists with different GSC sustainment initiatives
  • Integrates with various GSC functional organizations
  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be an effective communicator and will be expected to build relationships with broader GSC organization and across program IPTs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree with 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience or a or a High School diploma/equivalent with 15 years' experience in project management, supply chain, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and/or related professional experience.
  • Experience using SAP
  • This position requires an Active DOD Secret Clearance, with investigation completed within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sustainment experience (supporting spares & repairs)
  • Previous experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employee and management

    Salary Range: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
