Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Manager to join our B-21 Strike team. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

The candidate will be required to improve their knowledge of industry practices and standards, and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities for this position may include (but are not limited to):

  • Programmatic operation and integration directly supporting the Program Office in day-to-day execution
  • Assess project issues, and support development of resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of tools/templates for monitoring project progress
  • Preparation of status reports and presentations for NGC internal and Customer meetings
  • Plans, directs and manages all phases of facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation
  • Ensures project requirements are defined, contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 5 years of Project Management experience; 3 years with a master's degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, Outlook
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Active secret or top-secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years)
  • Ability to attain and maintain program access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish tasks on time
  • Project Management Experience or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate
  • Experience with SharePoint and/or Tableau
  • Existing PAR

Salary range: $74,600 - $111,800


Salary Range: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
