Northrop Grumman Defense Services sector is currently seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Project Management Specialist to join our growing Platform Sustainment & Mission Readiness (PSMR) Operating Unit Systems Support Group (SSG) team in Warner Robins, Georgia. In this position, the selected candidate will take an active role in systems sustainment protecting the men and women that fly our nation’s aircraft in harm’s way.

In this position you will take an active role in protecting the men and women that fly our nation’s aircraft in harm’s way by leading depot repair and engineering operations in support of the Technology Services Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) sustainment program. The LAIRCM sustainment program has a long history of exceeding the high expectations of our global customer by using innovation, technology, and effective leadership.


You will have the opportunity to work proposal activities in support of our current 5 year program as well as the next 5 year follow-on contract and other activities as required. In addition, s/he will establish program control processes to support proposal activities and tracking special category work (SCW).


Your job duties include:

• Oversees Proposal Efforts for AAQ-24 Program & Tracks Special Category Work (SCW).

• Acts as a central point of contact for all functional groups including pricing.
• Writes Basis of Estimates (BOES), handles kickoffs for functional teams and responsible for SCR packages.
• Develops, plans and schedules. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
• Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
• Researches and provides historical data to support proposal efforts.
• Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings.
• Participates in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
• Supports RFIs request from customer after submittal of proposal.
• Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.

Responsible for Managing Program Material Model

This position can be filled as either a Principal Project Management Specialist or a Sr. Principal Project Management Specialist.

The following Basic Qualifications are required for a Principal Project Management Specialist: 
 

1. Must have 10 years of related experience with HS diploma/GED. Will consider a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years related experience or Master's degree and minimum of 4 years related experience;
2. Demonstrated success in leading teams or projects.
3. Demonstrated success in continuous process improvement initiatives
4. Demonstrated ability to analyze data an identify trends.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
6. Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance. 

7. Ability to obtain/maintain access to work at our Warner Robins site
 

Basic Qualifications Required for a Sr. Principal Project Management Specialist: 
1.  Must have 14 years of related experience with HS diploma/GED. Will consider a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years related experience or Master's degree and minimum of 8 years related experience; .
2. Demonstrated success in leading teams or projects.
3. Demonstrated success in continuous process improvement initiatives
4. Demonstrated ability to analyze data an identify trends.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
6. Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance. 

7. Ability to obtain/maintain access to work at our Warner Robins site



Preferred Qualifications: 
1. Experience with all aspect of proposal generation.
2. Demonstrated success in performing in a fast paced environment
3. In depth knowledge of depot or production planning
4. Experience in communication, both written and verbal, with customers and senior management

Salary Range: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
