Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager of Project Management 3 based out of the Iuka, MS location.

As a key leader, the Project Manager will provide leadership in a high performing team and will report through the Manufacturing Engineering department. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, collaboration, and implementation of a strong foundation with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers. Strong leadership characteristics are essential as this role drives strategies to meet or exceed performance objectives. This position requires a candidate with strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to lead in an environment of continuous change. This position requires the ability to report at the Director level including status for Affordability initiatives, change management, planning and execution tasks, as well as provides inputs into recurring Business Unit reporting. Collaboration with program and functional leaders to develop plans and results that deliver on commitments and embodies “best culture” is essential.

A successful candidate in this role will be interested/energized by and able to:

• Support various Integration efforts related to significant growth of people, processes, and facilities
• Change Control Board (CCB):  manage any/all change, both internal and external, which includes specifications, design/drawings, and internally driven processes and procedure changes
• Affordability:  facilitate engineering and operations teams to identify and down-select cost improvement initiatives
• Develop ROI for proposals, create briefs and present at appropriate boards and reviews
• Analyze and make recommendations around business challenges based on data
• Risks and Opportunities:  facilitate engineering and operations teams to identify risks and opportunities, and cost items which would link with EVMS reporting
• Attend and/or lead meetings and provide status including presenting status to site leadership
• Document top program issues for quality, schedule, and cost to drive each category to planned objectives
• Assessment Action Plans:  document actions from internal/external reviews, maintain status, drive to closure, summarize status as appropriate for reporting up and out
• Integrate metrics, develop, and refine dashboards
• Deliver presentations to customers, executive leadership, and other program stakeholders
• Navigate ambiguity and develop a systemic approach and strategy to address and solve problems
• Build relationships and effectively listen and communicate to influence, and ensure accountability across a network of stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years, or master’s and 7+ years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
• 3+ years of experience in a Program Management or Integration role
• Ability to obtain and retain DoD Security Clearance (at the Secret Level)
• Ability to obtain and retain Program Access (enhanced security screening)
• Demonstrated experience in applying the following principles:   
  • Business Acumen:  The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools, and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance
  • Issue & Problem Resolution:  The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.

• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Experience

Salary range: $119,100 - $178,700

Salary Range: $119,100 USD - $178,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
