Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is searching for a Manufacturing Operations Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Our team supports operations and business improvement across 1800 employees located in Utah, Ohio, California and Mississippi. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah.

 

We have a variety of shifts available to support a 24/7 operation. We offer both 3 and 4 day shifts to cover days, nights and weekends. Travel is estimated to be less than 25%.

 

This position is on-site in Clearfield, Utah, and cannot be performed remotely.

 

Responsibilities:

·Work closely with industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and supply chain to create and monitor workaround plans and projects to aide in production in a developmental environment.

·Analyze various manufacturing processes for opportunities to minimize scrap, reduce cost, increase capacity, and optimize schedule.

·Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving, impactful solutions.

·Work with program leadership to assess what-if scenarios and guide long-term strategic decision making across several different programs.

·Generate metrics and conducts studies pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.

·Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence with program management and customers, even through unforeseen challenges.

·Apply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.

·Facilitate continuous improvement events to develop, define and improve processes in the forming and finishing of aircraft composite structures.

·Develop and summarize analyses for the acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and equipment. Provides capacity planning, rate tool analyses, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations.

Basic Qualifications:

 

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Project Management (level 3) or a Sr. Principal Project Management (level 4) based on the qualifications below.

  

Principal Project Management

 

·Bachelor's Degree with 6 Years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 4 Years relevant experience. Note: An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

·Ability to work on an assembly floor

·Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and special program access

·Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools

·Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Access Program within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

 

Sr. Principal Project Management

 

·Bachelor's Degree with 10 Years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 8 Years relevant experience. Note: An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

·Ability to work on an assembly floor

·Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and special program access

·Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools

·Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Access Program within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

·Active DoD clearance

·Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment

·Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)


Salary Range: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
