Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Release Train Engineer (Chief Scrum Master) & Project Manager 1. The positions will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program SDS Division.

What You’ll Get To Do:
•Lead the efforts of developing Scaled Agile engineering and management best practices, metrics, and audit practices.
•Conduct Scrum Team training, product backlog and retrospective training, Lean Agile development training.
•Support a range of technical disciplines from software engineering to hardware to cyber to testing automation for the Scrum Teams.
•Facilitate Agile Release Train events including Project Increment (PI) planning events
•Collect and analyze related metrics for trends and indicators, facilitate iteration/increment planning, provide Agile coaching and mentoring at all levels within the organization.
•Lead continuous improvement efforts within the ART.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

 

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelors Degree and 5 years related experience

At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule

•1 year of experience in an Agile Software Engineering Methodologies such as Scrum.
•1 year of experience working within a SAFe framework
•US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years) with the ability to obtain PAR

Preferred Qualifications:
•US Citizenship with an Active Top Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)

•1 year of experience as a Release Train Engineer or Scrum Master (or similar relatable experience - i.e., Release Train Engineer Certified, Certified Scrum Practitioner, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, etc.)

•Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

•Familiarity with using Jira, Confluence, and Fisheye/Crucible

•Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
•Direct experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Travis CI or Circle CI
•Experience with Java/C/C++ development and/or front-end web development including JavaScript Frameworks (Angular JS or React), HTML, and CSS


Salary Range: $87,900 USD - $131,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
