Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Project Manager. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do:

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. This position is to support a System Engineering Proposal team with completing ongoing proposals for the Sentinel Program. The selected candidate will ensure the team develops correct and complete TINA compliant proposals utilizing current corporate Principles and Operating Procedures. The candidate will lead the team in delivering these proposals on time to meet corporate and customer objectives.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. 

You’ll bring these qualifications:

• 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree; 8 years with Master; or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

• Must have U.S. Citizenship  with a current or active Secret level clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years.

• Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and execution of a large complex program.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.

• Experience with high level customer engagement.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

These qualifications would be nice to have:

• PMP certification.

• Experience in system development.

• Experience working within a multi-team environment.

• Experience with Engineering Procurement System and Capital/Gov't Hardware Control.

• Experience with schedule management, risk management and performance management.

• Experience facilitating Program Reviews.

• Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).

• Experience with tableau and data analytics.

• Experience with earned value management knowledge in a program management capacity.

• Experience with Agile Project Management.

• Experience with creating and monitoring test metrics.

Salary Range: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
