Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Manager of Project management 3. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) Division as the Site Operations Deputy.  

 

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. 

 

What You’ll Get To Do:

·         Integrate and lead an experienced and diverse Division Projects team responsible for nonrecurring Division investment projects - inclusive of capital investments, associated facility construction, modernization, and sustainability.

·         Lead site operations for all sites within the Division portfolio.  Support local teams at each location in the execution of company business to include SDS equities in UT, CA, CO, AL, WY, MT, and ND.

·         Lead new Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs for all sites within the Division portfolio. 

·         Provide the resources, personnel, and processes to foster a safe working environment for all employees at these sites.

·         Lead the development of SDS Division level processes, procedures, and guidance documents for non-engineering operations.

·         Support strategic planning to include provision of required data for development of the Division annual operating plan, long range strategic plan, and Capital Plan

·         Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives.

·         Prepares charts and briefings on status/progress and processes; attend and present in the appropriate cadences to ensure stakeholder awareness through Executive level.

·         Manages and maintain all metrics associated with Division Projects

·         Identifies risks and develops and implements associated mitigations and/or recovery plans.

·         Collaborates across Division organizations - inclusive of Program Office, Engineering, HR, Business Management and Division Leadership- to drive accountability and meet performance requirements and expectations to support Division success.

 

A successful candidate for this role will possess proven ability to:

·         Develop content, package, and brief communications effectively at an Executive level to inform and drive decisions.

·         Responsibility for project budgets and prepare requests, make recommendations, and track expenditures and performance against plan.

·         Collaborate across multiple functional organizations and product teams to lead through influence and ensure execution of respective scopes of work against project plan.

·         Act with a sense of urgency and accountability; taking ownership of tasks and strategic direction.

·         Nurture and foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.

·         Manage large-scale and diverse portfolio of investments; on the order of $30M or greater.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

·         Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience; inclusive of 3 years of experience leading large, cross-functional organizations.

·         Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to attain Special Program Access.

·        1+ years of experience managing large-scale and diverse portfolio of investments.

·        1+ years experience managing project budgets and preparing requests, making recommendations, and tracking expenditures and performance against plan.

·         Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

·         Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

·         Northrop Grumman experience in facilities engineering and/or leading construction projects.

·         Experience standing up facilities and new organizations.

·         Experience managing and forecasting capital needs and provides input to the LRSP and AOP

·         Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with all stakeholders and SDS Leadership.

Salary Range: $125,700 USD - $188,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
