Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Division Director of Operations for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.  This individual will be based in Roy, UT, reporting directly to the SDS Division General Manager as part of the Executive Leadership team. 

The candidate must understand Division objectives, ensure all activities are aligned with these objectives, and support efficient execution to achieve these objectives. This requires the ability to process large amounts of information, synthesizing, and integrating to meet various leadership team needs. This role is uniquely positioned to have insight into operations across all aspects of our business to include strategy, financials, program execution, staffing, business operating rhythms, and reporting.

This role leads direct reports and functional support team members in areas such as Program and Process Excellence, facilities and space planning, oversight of capital and NCTA expenditures and project management and integration.  He/she will set strategy and priorities and ensure tactical plans are implemented in line with Division and programmatic goals across the portfolio.  The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels, including executive leadership.  

This leadership role reports to the Director of Operations with responsibilities including the following:

The selected candidate will provide a breadth of leadership as outlined below:

Division Operations / Sector and Corporate Coordination

• Acts in partnership with the Division General Manager by identifying and addressing opportunities to improve company, division, and program performance.
• Leads and manages Sector Reviews with the Corporate office.
• Produces and integrates materials to address data requests, reviews, and Division/sector/corporate reporting, across a variety of initiatives.
• Establishes and strategically reviews the operating rhythm for the Division General Manager and SP Executive Leadership Team.
• Development, support and deployment of project management and integration team members in support of BU/Program requirements

Program Excellence & Integration 

• Ensure the implementation and enforcement of program management processes across all Division programs/activities.
• Development and execution of Division Rhythm (Staff Meetings, Financial Reviews, Talent Reviews, Program Reviews, DFRs, Division Distribution Lists, etc.).
• Metrics and Sector/Corporate reporting and compliance with directed templates.

Site Operations

• Responsible for facilities planning and management across multiple Division-owned and leased locations. Inclusive of responsibility for Environmental Health and Safety and maintenance.
• Division lead for sustainability, inclusive of reporting and collaboration with Sector.
• Oversight of performance against Division Capital and NCTA budgets.
• Infrastructure requirements including offices, labs, SCIFs, offsite locations.

Workforce Integration & Employee Experience

• Oversee onboarding and welcoming of talent from pre-hire through their time with Northrop Grumman. Includes leadership of both the Employee Experience and Division Hiring Operations teams.
• Manage the framework, process, and common reporting of Division staffing demand and fulfillment

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10+ years of experience. Including 3 years in program or project management leadership.
• Must have ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current TS/SCI clearance. 
• Demonstrated adaptability and ability to work in ambiguity.
• Program and/or capture experience preferred.
• High energy, strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and a hands-on level, as needed.
• Strong data analytic capability and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills.

Salary Range: $211,500 USD - $317,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
