Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is looking for a Classified Infrastructure Operations Lead for the Space Security organization/business unit. The Classified Infrastructure Operations Lead will support the Business Unit Operations Manager with tasks and logistics that enable classified programs to achieve operational excellence. The Classified Infrastructure Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the stand up of new and existing program classified network and communication infrastructure across many geographical NG locations. The ideal candidate is interested in solving complex classified network and communication problems that are critical to our programs operating efficiently and effectively. This new team member should have a “start with yes” attitude and understands that success means creating comprehensive technical approaches through creative problem solving that reach across multiple organizations and rely heavily on strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

Primary duties will include (not limited to):

  • Act as primary responsibility for ensuring the classified network infrastructure for SPS BU programs are implemented and maintained to appropriate standards.

  • Enable successful execution of classified network operations by driving efficiencies and solutions to complex problems that improve our programs ability to execute.

  • Integrates and enables Program Management, Program Customer, Cybersecurity, Industrial Security, and classified IT to ensure network security requirements are met and in compliance.

  • Oversee the execution of preventative/predictive classified network infrastructure initiatives before they become problems with a focus on reaching organization sustainability goals.

  • Clearly presents technical approaches, findings, and proposed solutions for classified infrastructure initiatives to various levels of leadership on an recurring basis.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with 14 years of related experience; OR Masters Degree with 12 years of related experience; OR PhD with 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • Experience in leading IT and/or cybersecurity teams

  • Proven understanding and experience of program life cycles and program management fundamentals

  • Proven experience successfully managing technical project requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Space domain experience.

  • Prior Northrop Grumman policies, tools, and systems.

  • Preferred technical certification(s) in related disciplines such as CISSP, CCNA, etc.


Salary Range: $161,000 USD - $241,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
