Northrop Grumman Defense System is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Management (level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals located at Palmdale, Ca.
You will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between program management and planning, project team, and line management. You will review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports. You will also assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and clients.
Additionally, you will lead the capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Develop capture strategy including business solutions for pursuit of opportunities; identify potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participate in bid and proposal activities. Maintain on-going interaction with marketing.
NG Skills
Basic Qualifications:
- 14 years of Project Management experience; or 10 years with Bachelor’s Degree, or 8 years with Master's Degree.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and AGILE
- Experience in proposal operations and development, including Basis of Estimates and historical data analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Familiar with risk development and mitigation plans.
- Must have an active Top Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance.
- Must have the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Project
- Experience in the development and sustainment of Technical Publications/Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Training products
- Previous Project Management and Logistics experience
