Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Project Manager/Principal Project Manager professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an individual contributor role and is not a management/leadership opportunity.
This position is for the role of a Program Integrator. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of project integrators within the Program Operations Homeroom. The candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as the liaison between program management and integrated product teams. This individual contributor will work side by side with the Program Manager on all program reporting and executive level presentations.
The candidate should understand the IMF and 5.0 Program Management processes and procedures. They should adhere to NG processes and apply them to working internal projects. They should have knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
- Programmatic operation and integration directly supporting the Program Office in day-to-day execution
- Assess program issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
- Manage program risks and opportunities per the Risk and Opportunities Management Plan (ROMP)
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of tools/templates for monitoring project progress
- Preparation of status reports and presentations for NGC internal and Customer meetings
- Supporting and generating proposal documentation as needed
This position can be filled at either a Project Manager level or a Principal Project Manager level
Basic Qualifications for Project Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 2 years’ experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution with Bachelors; OR 1 year experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution with Masters
- Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF)
- Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership
- Active secret or higher clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years) and the ability to attain and maintain program access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 5 years’ experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution with Bachelors; OR 3 years’ experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution with Masters
- Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF)
- Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership
- Active secret or higher clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years) and the ability to attain and maintain program access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Special Program Access
- 7+ years’ experience in Project management, Program Integration/Execution
- Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with formal Risk Management including tools and Risk Management process
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university
- Possess the ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
- CAM Certification or related experience, PMP Certification Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadership
