Northrop Grumman Defense Sector (NGDS) is seeking a Transport Site Maintenance Manager in Dothan, Alabama for the US Army’s Transport Aircraft program to coordinate maintenance with subcontractors, and government customers while ensuring 100% first pass quality maintenance on location.

As the selected Transport Site Manager, you will provide the programmatic, technical expertise, and people leadership necessary to deliver mission capable aircraft to our customer at our Dothan, Alabama site. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring NG delivers on our contractual commitments, advances our strategic objectives, and provides effective and engaged leadership to the program.

You are responsible for working with program leadership and our subcontractors to ensure appropriate staffing, resources, processes, tools, training, etc. are provided to support successful program execution as well as proactively providing program direction to best leverage NGDS capabilities. This position is in Dothan, Alabama.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manages day-to-day activities at assigned program site, including employees’ shift loading, performance, contract conformance, procedural adherence, property control, facility, safety, security and daily production and supervises the work of employees assigned from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

  • Directs all phases of assigned location program objectives from inception through completion. Responsible for site-specific technical statement of work / performance and overall site operations.

  • Liaison with Subcontractor for all issues related to maintenance of C-12 fleet at site.

  • Coordinate with Subcontractor on all contract deliverables to be completed on time.

  • Attend Daily Ops meetings with PMO and validate and report on ac status, maintenance issues related to aircraft in a non-mission capable (NMC) status, and coordinate with supply on efficient delivery of parts.

  • Provide Daily Status reports to PMO.

  • Work with Subcontractor and Customer to develop achievable flight schedule.

  • Conduct trend analysis to provide subject matter expertise resulting is reduced NMC time.

  • Verify accuracy of aircraft reporting programs and check parts are ordered correctly in NGC supply program. 

  • Verify hangar safety and cleanliness standards are met daily.

  • Support Program Maintenance Manager as required.

  • Review and initiate SOP updates as required.

  • Validate and report on GSE status and coordinate with supply as required to get new equipment as necessary.

  • Review site Weight & Balance files are correct and uploaded.

  • Coordinate with Program Technical Publication Librarian, Site, and Subcontractor

  • As necessary and directed by Maintenance Manager

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 10 years’ experience leading aviation Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) aviation fleet maintenance, or Officer or Senior NCO with 20 years military squadron/maintenance unit experience will be considered.

  • FAA certified airframe and power plant mechanic or relevant military experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as collaborative management style, and an inherent drive to deliver on commitments.

  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining a Secret security clearance.

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous or current FAA inspector certification

  • QAE experience at aviation fleet facility or military aviation QA experience

  • 20 years military or contract maintenance experience on complex turbine aircraft.

  • Previous experience as a site manager for an Aviation CLS activity

  • The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.


Salary Range: $97,300 USD - $145,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
