Job Description

Primary function is to lead all phases of ICBM targets program (part of broader IRBM/ICBM targets program) from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of program and for working directly with Program Engineering Managers, Program business management and IRBM/ICBM Program Director to ensure program objectives are met. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for ICBM program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new ICBM business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Takes on general program management responsibilities outside directly related ICBM efforts as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have bachelor’s degree and minimum of 9 years of related professional experience to include a background in Program Management or related experience; Master’s degree and 7years related experience.
  • Active Secret clearance in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years).
  • Proven understanding and experience of launch vehicle program life cycles and program management fundamentals
  • Proven experience successfully managing technical project requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Engineering background
  • Proficient in EVMS
  • Experience in launch vehicle design, integration, test and launch operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Leadership roles within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Experience with cybersecurity
  • Experience with financial forecasting
  • Experience with MDA programs
  • Experience with MAP Rev. B


Salary Range: $152,100 USD - $228,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
