Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Associated Project Manager/Project Manager. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. 

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

Project Management position oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets.

  • Manages schedules and prepare status reports.

  • Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Support sub-contracting effort either via IWO or supplier.

  • Works closely with engineering team and GSC to translate engineering needs to PO generation. Support leadership with supplier deliverable timelines and PO execution.

  • Supports leadership with supplier deliverable timelines and PO execution.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Associated Program Managements: 0 years of experience with Bachelor’s degree.

  • Program Management: 3 Years of experience with Bachelor’s degree; 1 Year with Masters.

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Demonstration of a strong understanding of project management and earned-value management principles and their application to complex projects.

  • Strong understanding of CAM responsibilities (experience in writing variances, ETC updates, and baselining a program).

  • Experience managing cost and schedules.

  • Experience leading teams.

  • Experience Supplier/ Sub-Contract Management.

  • Able to assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Strong experience leading teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.

  • Operates independently with limited to no supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers.

  • Able to assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans.

  • Demonstration of a strong understanding of project management and earned-value management principles and their application to complex projects.

  • Strong experience/ understanding of CAM responsibilities.

  • Strong experience managing cost and schedules.

  • 5 plus years of experience in project management, business management, or finance.

  • Experience developing Statements of Work or Performance Work Statements.

  • Supplier/Sub-Contract Management.

Salary Range: $50,100 USD - $75,100 USD
Salary Range 2: $60,600 USD - $90,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
