Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst/Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) for our Roy, UT location.
This position will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supporting a critical, fast-paced, high-profile program.
- Create, maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
- Routinely support new business pursuits and classified solicitation activities.
- Experience in program security, with knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, personnel security, physical security, security classification guides, OPSEC etc.).
- Interprets and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. - Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor’s access to restricted records and materials..
- Conducts security education classes and related briefings
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
Working knowledge of DoD 5105.21 SCI Manuals Volumes 1-3, ICD 705, and/or CFR 32 Part 117 NISPOM- applicable sponsor procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6 years of security experience with Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ experience with Masters degree (an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree. Related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered by the hiring manager.).
- Current Active Top Secret clearance or current SSBI with the ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance.
- In-scope investigation (T3, T3R, T5, T5R, SSBI, SBPR, PPR) completed within last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) program.
- Ability to meet enhanced security requirements and obtain/maintain SCI eligibility and access.
- Working knowledge of the DODM 5105.21 V1-3 and ICD 705 Tech Spec.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing DISS and/or SIMS.
- Prior program security (Collateral, SAP or SCI) experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.
- Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience leading or mentoring other personnel in a team environment.
- Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Computer and desktop office software products experience.
