Northrop Grumman is seeking an Principal Industrial Security Analyst to: develop, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

  • Supporting a fast-paced high-profile program; create, maintain, and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Oversee classified security programs and provide expertise in all security functions in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other applicable security regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities in accordance with DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications guidance.
  • Assist program managers and professional staff in the interpretation, application and compliance with program Security Classification Guides (SCG).
  • Provide program security and personnel security (PERSEC) support to include, review and submit clearance/access information using DISS other information systems; maintain PERSEC databases in accordance with customer tracking requirements; maintain and operate document control register/database; process and manage incoming and outgoing visit authorizations and visitor control.
  • Provide facility security administration, documentation, and management support: draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP; manage inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with the policies and procedures; prepare and submit status reports to applicable government agencies; administer and manage classified destruction program; serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) entering or leaving the facility, including electronic data transfer; maintain suspense copies of all material transported via courier and perform follow-up, as needed.
  • Manage and maintain UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
  • Ensure the development, documentation, and presentation of classified security education, awareness, and training activities.
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.
  • Maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers.
  • Maintain accountability of classified material.
  • Implement policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, and for investigating and reporting security violations and incidents.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Industrial Security Analyst (Level 3):

  • Bachelor’s degree and six years Security related experience or master’s degree with four years related experience. An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen, have a Secret clearance.
  • Organized and efficient at time management.
  • Computer and desktop Microsoft office software products experience (Word, Excel etc...)
  • Must be detail-oriented, have meticulous record-keeping, and will be responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets.
  • Must have strong communication skills.

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Personnel and Program Security Experience
  • Familiarity with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoD 5205.07 manuals.
  • Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills, and organizational skills enabling effective  communications .


Salary Range: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
